Saltburn a #HeToo Movie if only Barry Would File

Barry Keoghan is one of the finest young actors around. Watch Banshees of Inersherin or Killing of a Sacred Deer. But in Saltburn, sicko Emerald Fennell decided to humiliate the living daylight out of him. I literally think the movie is grounds for a sexual assault charge.

There were some positives for the females in the film; funny characters and lines for Carey Mulligan and Rosamund Pike.

But for the men, who EF obviously hates, Richard E. Grant is reduced as a cuckold, and the aforementioned two scenes of absolute degradation for Barry.

Horror is my least favorite genre, but second to that is misandrist writing. EF’s Promising Young Woman was cathartic, but Saltburn is simply a cry for help or a female sociopath’s fever dream. Either way, I hated it.
