Marty, Still Relevant After All These Years

Marty, the four time Academy Award winning movie starring Ernest Borgnine holds up 66 years later.
Here’s why:
People still succumb to peer pressure. Bros before hoes is still a pressure for some boys/men.
People fear change and hence, would rather be stuck in a rut and miserable rather than take a chance on rejection/failure.
Parents feel lost after their nest empties.
Introverts still have a tough time dating.
Skinny girls are out of fashion (again).
Single teachers of a certain age are considered school marms.

The chemistry between Borgnine and Betsy Blair was poignant.
The mother and son relationship was realistic and humorous.

Kudos to Burns Court Theater for re-showing this classic and Lorenzo for providing a lively and interesting talk back.
